Ballad

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12173224

What happens when one is jealous

Of another’s property?

They fight and fight and then, fellas,

One just ends up dead.

Our good old friend Bill Gates is now

Desperately wanting

The name ‘App Store’ to be allowed

For him to use as his.

Of course our bud Steve Jobs will not,

But he has no way out.

The name is too basic to swat

That he just has to give.

I just don’t know what happens now

But I know they will fight.

I just won’t know what happens now,

But I hope they don’t die.

Sonnet

I left you because you left me to die.

You were like the roots of a tree to me,

My strength, my water, my everyday try,

But now I know that you are not to me.

You punched and teased, but I did nothing back.

You’ve made me mad to the tip of my head.

You’ve made me cry until the point I lack.

In everyway, your love language was misread.

However, there were some, some that you gave,

The times you made me smile, the times you made

Me laugh my belly out, times you forgave,

And times you made me happy for decades.

You are my friend, though sometimes you betray.

Nonetheless, you’ll always be my friend at bay.

Villanelle

You’re the person I most depend.

And the guidance I seek in need.

That is what makes you my best friend.

Though I’m far from the present trend.

You wouldn’t leave although I plead.

You’re the person I most depend.

Twirling days, I near an end.

You save me and say I’m mislead.

That is what makes you my best friend.

Unintentionally I offend,

You just let it pass like a seed.

You’re the person I most depend.

When I am attacked, you defend.

With one stroke of yours, I am freed.

That is what makes you my best friend.

There is no wound you have not mend.

My thanks to you, the limits exceed

You’re the person I most depend.

That is what makes you my best friend.

Ghazal

You gave me a shock the other day.

Shoes you filled with rock, the other day.

Perhaps a joke, perhaps an attack,

But you watch your sock, the other day.

I may do the same, or even worse,

Just as you have mocked, the other day.

We have gotten close, and you got new shoes,

After the long walk the other day.

Hearing about your stories has made me want

To know about the clock the other day.

No lies, I hope, for there better be trust,

For I wished to undo the lock, the other day.

Between us, there is something I sense,

Maybe from that dock, the other day.

I sense a great friendship, everlasting,

Ever since that bock, the other day.

But I bid you farewell, for now,

For we listened to Bach, the other day.

So just sit right back and wait for me,

Just as you were using a chock the other day.

Elegy

Here I am, surrounded by your care,
Yet you left me without hesitation.
To have a friend like you again, I’ll ne’er,
Now you are gone to another nation.

You showed me what true friends really mean,
You showed me clearly what this world can be.
You always saw what was behind the screen.
And helped me to be who I want to be

Now we say good-bye with trust in fate,
That fate tries its best to meet our demands.
And I will miss you dear friend, to restate,
But now we say good-bye with eager hands.
